Claudia Huges is an elite movement artist, contortionist, and stunt performer, with a career
spanning film, TV, and live performance (including House of the Dragon, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Willow) Claudia brings expert knowledge in functional flexibility, movement mechanics, and injury prevention—perfect for aerialists, dancers, and movement artists.
Considerations
This session isn’t for complete beginners, but modifications will be provided for different levels.
Who Can Join? This workshop is designed for those with some existing flexibility training. You should be able to:
✔ Touch your toes comfortably
✔ Push up into a bridge (even if it’s not deep!)
On the Day
🌿 Lower Body Flexibility
Active drills to increase hamstring, hip, and quad flexibility
Partner-assisted stretches for deep active & passive flexibility
Split progressions, standing splits, and hip-opening techniques
🌟 Upper Body & Backbending
Gentle neck & back warm-up to prepare for deeper bends
Partner-assisted back & shoulder stretches for safe spinal extension
Strength-based conditioning drills for controlled backbending
Chest stands & progressions (modifications provided).
🔥 Additional Strength & Balance Work: (Level-Dependent)
Handstand & flexibility skill progressions (if time allows)
Advanced flexibility moves like triple folds.
🌀 Cool Down & Recovery: Gentle stretches and relaxation to bring the body back to neutral.
